So sorry to hear about your dad Chris. A year ago my mom had a heart attack (she lived in Illinois). I was rushing to try to get to her but about a half an hour into driving I got a phone call from the ER doctor telling me that he didn’t think mom was going to survive and she had asked him to do whatever was necessary to save her life. 15 minutes later he called again and said she was coding and did I want him to continue CPR??? So I had to make the heart wrenching decision to tell him to stop over the phone. Sigh…it was the most awful feeling in the world… Thank God she had done all the advanced directives. This message is of utmost importance and I hope people will heed it.
